:التطور التاريخي والعمراني لمدينة دمشق: نموذج لمدينة مشرقية
من العصر الآرامي إلى الحرب العالمية الأولى
تتمحور هذه المحاضرة حول
١-العمارة في دمشق قبل الفتح الاسلامي من عام ٣٣٠ ق.م.
٢- الجامع الأموي
٣- تطور دمشق التاريخي عبر العصور وحتى الحرب العالمية الأولى ١٩١٤.
٤- عناصر المدينة المشرقية.
هالة المهايني
تخرجت من كلية الفنون الجميلة بدمشق قسم التصميم الداخلية عام ١٩٧٠، وعملت بعدها في التصميم الداخلية ست سنوات حتى عام ١٩٧٦، درّست في كلية الفنون الجميلة ثمان سنوات ، من عام ١٩٧٧ حتى عام ١٩٨٥. وعملت بعدها في وزارة الثقافة ، مديرية الفنون الجميلة لمدة ثمان سنوات من عام ١٩٨٥ حتى عام ١٩٩٣. ومنذ عام ١٩٩٤ وحتى الآن متفرغة للعمل الفني: رسم وموزاييك وتصميم داخلي. نالت ميدالية ذهبية من الصين عام ١٩٩٣ و نالت جائزة تشجيعية من بينالي المحبة في اللاذقية عام ١٩٩٥. شاركت في عدة ورشات عمل في بلغاريا ، تونس وإسبانيا. رسمت رسوم للأطفال مع دار الحدائق للنشر، في لبنان.
شاركت في معارض فردية وجماعية داخل سورية وخارجها ولوحات متقنات في دول عربية وأجنبية.
رولى القوتلي
تخرجت من كلية الفنون الجميلة بدمشق ، إختصاص تصميم داخلي عام ١٩٩٥. شاركت في ورشة عمل رسم في غرناطة اسبانيا عام ١٩٩٨. أخذت صفوف بعد التخرج :رسم قصص أطفال في جامعة هيرون للفنون انديانا ، أمريكا بين ١٩٩٩-٢٠٠١. وتدربت على الزجاج المعشق في سانت لويس عام ٢٠٠٢. أقامت معارض فردية وجماعية في سورية وأمريكا من عام ١٩٩٦ حتى عام ٢٠٢٣. درست في مدراس ابتدائية ومدرسة الأحد من عام ٢٠٠٣-٢٠٠٤ ومن عام ٢٠١٦- ٢٠٢٣. ألفت كتاب محطات في سور القرآن الكريم عام ٢٠٢٢.

This week Roula Kowatli and Hala Mahayni will present a talk titled:
The Historic and Architectural Development of the City of Damascus: A Model of an Eastern City from the Aramaic Age to World War I
This study was carried out by Hala Mahayni
Hala graduated in 1970 from the School of Fine Art at the University of Damascus, specializing in interior design, after which she worked as an interior designer until 1976. She lectured at the School of Fine Art from 1977 until 1985 before working at the Ministry of Culture until 1993. Since then, she has worked in mosaic and interior design. She was awarded the Gold Medal from China in 1993 for her paintings after participation in the fine art exhibition and the Young Painter’s Award at the al-Mahhaba Biennale. She has participated in various workshops in Bulgaria, Tunisia, and Spain. She has also illustrated children’s books in collaboration with Dar al-Hadaek in Beirut, Lebanon. She has participated in many solo and group exhibitions in both Syria and other countries, and her paintings have been widely sold in both Arab and non-Arab countries.
This talk will be presented by Roula Kowatli
Roula graduated in 1995 from the University of Damascus, School of Fine Art, specializing in Interior Design. She participated in a workshop in Granada in 1998. She has taken post-graduate classes in children’s book illustration from Herron School of Art + Design: Indiana University from 1999 until 2001. She trained in stained glass artwork in St. Louis in 2002. She has participated in solo and group exhibitions in both Syria and the United States from 1996 to 2023. She has taught in elementary and Sunday schools from 2003 until 2004 and from 2016 until 2023. She is the author of A Journey in the Holy Qur’an, published in 2023.
