هذا الأسبوع يسرنا سروراً كبيراً أن نستضيف الأستاذة غادة بوعلوان، التي ستلقي محاضرة بعنوان كيفية ممارسة نساء ألف ليلة وليلة للقوة
تدرّس الأستاذة بوعلوان اللغة العربية وآدابها، وهي تعمل مديرة دراسات البكالوريوس في قسم اللغة العربية ودراسات الشرق الأوسط في جامعة نوتر دام. يركز بحثها في الدراما العربية الحديثة والأدب العربي الشعبي الكلاسيكي. من مؤلفاتها كتاب قصص من ألف ليلة وليلة: كتاب جامعي لطلاب اللغة العربية من المستوى المتوسط والمستوى المتقدم، بالإضافة إلى روايتين بالعربية: سماء مليئة بالنجوم وأنا محمد من الضاحية. محاضرة الأستاذة بوعلوان جزء من مقال لها سيتم نشره في مجلة المشرق في بيروت (خريف ٢٠٢٤)

This week we are honored to host Professor Ghada Bualuan, who will deliver a lecture titled “How the Women of the Arabian Nights Exercise Power”
Professor Bualuan teaches Arabic Language and Literature and is the Director of Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Arabic Middle Eastern Studies at Notre Dame University. Her work focuses on Modern Arabic Drama, as well as Classical Arabic Folk Literature. She is the author of Stories From One Thousand and One Nights: A textbook for Intermediate and Advanced Students of Arabic as well as two novels (published in Arabic): A Sky Full of Stars and I am Mohammed from Dahieh. Professor Bualuan’s lecture is based on her forthcoming academic article, which will be published in al-Mashriq Magazine, a refereed magazine published in Beirut.
