هذا الأسبوع يسرنا سروراً كبيراً أن نستضيف نرمين الحر، التي ستلقي محاضرة بعنوان «الأسر والنجاة في السيرة الذاتية العربية»
نرمين مرشحة لنيل درجة الدكتوراه في قسم دراسات الشرق الأوسط والدراسات الإسلاميّة في جامعة نيويورك
. ينصبّ اهتمامها على الأدب في سياقه التاريخيّ خلال القرن العشرين بخاصّة ما يتّصل منه بتشكّل الهويّات وتطوّر الخطاب الثقافيّ في العالم العربيّ
الندوة العربية تُرحّب بجميع الطلاب من شتّى المستويات، كما ترحّب بكل من يحب اللغة العربية. نتمنى أن نراكم قريباً إن شاء الله! لا تترددوا في التواصل معنا إن كانت لديكم أي اقتراحات.

This week we are honored to host Narmeen el Horr, who will deliver a lecture titled: “Captivity and Survival in Arabic Autobiography.”
Narmeen is a Doctoral Candidate in the Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies Department at New York University. Her interests center on literature in its historical context during the 20th century, with a particular focus on the relationship between identity formation and the development of cultural discourse in the Arab world.
Arabic Circle is a weekly speaker series open to students, faculty and community members of all levels in Arabic, as well as anyone interested in the language. Light snacks will be provided. We look forward to seeing you! Please feel free to contact us with any questions or feedback.
