:هذا الأسبوع نتشرف باستضافة الأستاذة شيرين العزبي، التي ستلقي محاضرة بعنوان
«"الترجمة في فصول تدريس العربية كلغة أجنبية في عصر الذكاء الاصطناعي: التصورات و"الواقع»
شيرين العزبي هي مدرس أول للغة العربية في قسم تعليم اللغة العربية في الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة. منذ عام 2000، قامت بتدريس جميع مستويات ومهارات اللغة العربية كلغة أجنبية، سواء فصحى العصر أو العامية المصرية ومؤخرا دورات المحتوى المتقدمة للطلاب الناطقين باللغة العربية بالإضافة للدورات الصيفية المكثفة في كلية ميدلبيري بالولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. مجالات اهتمامها هي الترجمة وعلم الصرف. حصلت على درجة البكالوريوس في الأدب المقارن ودرجة الماجستير في تدريس العربية كلغة أجنبية من الجامعة الأمريكية بالقاهرة. نشرت ترجماتها في مجلة "ألف" للشعر المقارن ومشروع النقوش الأثرية للقاهرة التاريخية على الإنترنت، وكتبت مراجعات نقدية لمجلة مهرجان القاهرة الدولي للمسرح التجريبي وفصل في كتاب "تحديات تدريس العربية كلغة أجنبية " الصادر في 2024. وهي حاصلة على جائزة CASA للتميز في تدريس اللغة لعام 2008.

This week we are honored to host Shereen El Ezabi, who will deliver a talk entitled “Teaching Translation in the AFL Classroom in the Age of AI: Perceptions and ‘Reality’”.
Shereen El Ezabi is a Senior Instructor of Arabic at the Department of Arabic Language Instruction at the American University in Cairo. Since 2000, she has taught AFL students all levels and skills of Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Colloquial, in addition to advanced content courses for native Arabic speaking students, and intensive summer courses at Middlebury College, USA. Her special fields of interest are translation studies and Arabic morphology. She has a BA in English and Comparative Literature and an MA in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language, both from AUC. She has published translations in the Alif Journal of Comparative Poetics, and the online Monumental Inscriptions of Historic Cairo project, and has written critical reviews for the magazine of the Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theater, and a chapter in the book “Challenges in Teaching Arabic as a FL”, 2024. She is the 2008 recipient of the CASA Award for Excellence in Language Teaching.
