محاضرة بعنوان ذات الصفائح: لأصطرلاب والأصطرلابية

ندعوكم إلى الندوة العربية يوم الجمعة 13 يناير في الساعة الثالثة في غرفة بيك Pick Hall 218 (حيث ستقدَّم المأكولات الخفيفة) أو عبر زوم.

 

نرحب هذا الأسبوع برضوى داوُّد، وهي طالبة دكتوراه نوبية مصرية تدرس في جامعة إلينوي بشيكاغو وفي تخصص الفيزياء النظرية (أسس نظرية الكم). رضوى حاصلة على الماجستير في الفيزياء النظرية من جامعة القاهرة. بجانب الفيزياء، رضوى أيضاً مهتمة بالتصوف والطريقة الشاذلية وتاريخ وفلسفة العلوم والفنون التشكيلية.

 

وستلقي رضوى محاضرة بعنوان ذات الصفائح: لأصطرلاب والأصطرلابية

This week we welcome Radwa Dawood, a Nubian Egyptian PhD student at the University of Illinois Chicago, studying Quantum Foundations. Radwa also has a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics from Cairo University. Other than physics, she is also interested in Sufism, the history and philosophy of science, and visual arts.

 

Radwa will be giving a presentation titled The Astrolabe and Its Development
