:هذا الأسبوع يسرنا سروراً كبيراً أن نستضيف أسد شوشرة الذي سيلقي محاضرة بعنوان

 تقرير من شمال وشرق سوريا: ديمقراطية و ثورة المرأة

أسد شوشرة طالب جامعي في جامعة شيكاغو. سكن في سوريا من سنة ٢٠٢١ الى سنة ٢٠٢٣ اين عمل مع الإدارة الذاتية الديمقراطية في شمال وشرق سرويا لتعزيز مؤسسات الديمقراطية المباشرة المحلية.

 .يدرس أسد الان الكتابة الابداعية ودراسات الشرق الاوسط 

الندوة العربية تُرحّب بجميع الطلاب من شتّى المستويات، كما ترحّب بكل من يحب اللغة العربية. نتمنى أن نراكم قريباً إن شاء الله!

This week we are honored to host Asad Shoshara, who will deliver a lecture titled “Report from Northeast Syria: Democracy and Women’s Revolution.” 

Asad Shoshara is an undergraduate student at the University of Chicago. From 2021 to 2023 he lived in Syria, working with the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (DAANES) to strengthen local institutions of direct democracy. He currently studies Creative Writing and Middle Eastern Studies.  

Arabic Circle is a weekly speaker series open to students, faculty and community members of all levels in Arabic, as well as anyone interested in the language. Light snacks will be provided. We look forward to seeing you! Please feel free to contact us with any questions or feedback.
